The Thick Of It
British political-based comedy satire that once had an episode based around 5live and so inevitably featured the Good Doctors, though in separate bits. Simon Mayo got a name-check early on, with a remark about his general friendliness while interviewing. Mark Kermode later popped up on a TV being watched by Ollie Reeder, who commented that "God Kermode, your hands are massive." Thus was born the Flappy Hands, although The Thick Of It creator Armando Iannucci would later apologise to Mark at the Baftas and somewhat shamefacedly admit that the joke was the best the writers could do.
