Mark and Simon broadcast their last show on BBC 5Live on 1st April 2022. The exact reasons for this are, as yet, unknown, but the pair stressed that it was their own choice. They will begin podcasting twice a week from 5th May in a show called Kermode and Mayo's Take. (Mark still comes first. Interesting.) It will still be produced by the current Somethin' Else team (which is part of Sony - will Mark figure out how to pronounce it?) with Dad Joke Writer and Redactor in Chief Simon Poole in charge, working them with his feet. I'm hoping for official merch, myself.
