Steven Spielberg-directed futuristic fable that Mark initially thought was a misfire, but whose Good Lady Professor Her Indoors persuaded was a Masterpiece. This ultimately led to Mark apologising to Spielberg during the interview for Lincoln. Spielberg said it was only the second time that had happened (Vincent Canby had hated Close Encounters Of The a Third Kind on release, only to re-evaluate it three years later give it a glowing review).

Spielberg told Wittertainment that it was the only time a film has been made by a ghost, referring to Stanley Kubrick, who died just ahead of production.
