During a round up of The Lady in the Van the word chortle was used to refer to another film from that week that did not pass The Six Laugh Test, and indeed "did not raise a chuckle or a chortle".
There was some argument as to whether or not chortle was a Portmanteau word. It is. Simon was right, and whisper it quietly but Mark was wrong.
It was also established that a chortle is inherently funnier than a chuckle, as it is a chuckle plus a snort.
